Requirements for tractor operation

Almost every tractor in the 50 to 120 HP engine power class has the necessary prerequisites for operating a hydraulic wood chipper. Your tractor only needs a hydraulic pressure line connection and a return line without pressure. The hydraulic power demand of the feed rollers of a wood chipper is relatively low and can be handled by any tractor in this class.

Application area of the BX 102 RS wood shredder:

The Victory BX-102RS wood chipper delivers its optimal performance at tractor engine power levels of about 70 to 90 HP. Using tractor hydraulics, the wood is drawn into the shredder by two counter-rotating spike rollers that feed the wood into the hopper.

This allows for fast yet comfortable operation of the wood shredder. The feed rollers are mounted with high-quality ball bearings, ensuring smooth operation without jamming.

The large safety bar serves as a control for the hydraulic function and regulates the direction (FOR – BACK – STOP) of the feed, so blockages can almost always be cleared by the "reverse" function.
The wood is chipped into approximately 1 to 5 cm pieces depending on the setting of the redesigned L-shaped counter knife and the selected hydraulic feed speed. The strong airflow generated by the rotor with blades in the wood chipper effectively ejects the material, making clogging almost impossible. The new counter knife ensures even better shredding of thin branches that previously could slip past the knife disc. The shredded material is more uniform than with other shredders and can be better used, e.g., for bedding chips for heating systems.

For difficult materials such as fir, thuja, or spruce, or bamboo or reed, it is possible to operate at 750 or 1000 RPM continuously, provided your tractor has this PTO speed. This creates a significantly stronger airflow, effectively blowing out moist material.
 

Technology of the 102 RS wood chipper:

With the infinitely adjustable feed-in speed via hydraulic valve, the performance of the wood chipper can be very easily matched to the type and diameter of the wood. Smaller diameters can be fed and chipped faster than larger ones.
Due to the special design of the feed-in hopper, the feed rollers sit very close to the rotor knives, which results in wood pieces that are no longer held firmly by the rollers being very short.
 

For larger tractors with more than 200 bar pressure in the hydraulic system, the BX-102 is equipped with a second pressure control valve in the supply line, allowing fine regulation of the feed roller speed even on large tractors.

On the 30 mm wide and 197 kg heavy rotor of the BX-102RS wood chipper, four 32 cm long blades made of hardened tool steel are mounted, capable of chipping wood pieces up to 23 cm in diameter into 1 to 5 cm small pieces. Additional blades on the rotor generate the necessary airflow to eject even difficult materials from the Victory BX-102.

Inside the massive rotor housing, additional exchangeable branch crushers are mounted to effectively shred small branch diameters as well.

The discharge hopper is located at a height of 240 cm, is rotatable by 230 degrees, and depending on the deflector flap position, achieves a discharge distance of up to 12 meters. Loading trailers, containers, or BigBags is targeted and easy.

An optional extension of the discharge hopper by 50 cm to 290 cm is possible, allowing easy filling of large trucks and trailers. The capacity of the wood chipper is approximately 15 m³/h depending on the type of wood.

New on the Victory BX-102RS is a easily accessible service hatch under the lower feed roller, making it easy to remove wood residues and providing very easy access to moving parts for maintenance. Also new is the trouble-free access to the feed roller system, which now includes the adjustable, new L-shaped counter knife.

Only two screws need to be loosened to fold open the upper feed roller along with the sturdy mounting frame for quick and efficient maintenance.

The new foldable and 112 cm wide feed-in hopper can be easily operated via the safety bar accessible from all sides.

For transport, the hopper can be very easily folded up by one person and secured without tools. With the BX-102RS wood chipper, access to the rotor and blades is gained by loosening just one screw, allowing quick and easy maintenance.

The strong airflow generated by the 197 kg rotor with specially shaped blades virtually eliminates clogging. Since the hydraulic feed rollers can rotate backwards at any time, blockages can be effectively cleared in the shortest possible time.
